How Much Does it Cost to Fit a Boiler?
Boiler installation costs vary and depend on several factors, primarily the size of your home and the number of bathrooms in your home in Redditch.
A combi Boiler is great for single bathroom homes but if you have a large home with several bathrooms, we may suggest installing an unvented cylinder system. When you book one of our gas safe heating experts to pop out to your home, they will conduct a survey, discuss your needs and make best practice suggestions.
A new boiler installation will often pay for itself over a few years due to their energy ratings in comparison to older boiler installations. A new boiler will also boost your central heating, especially if your existing boiler is really old! Our Plumbing experts in Redditch are waiting for your call and will happily provide a no obligation quote.
We guarantee that our prices are much more favourable than the larger known brands and we often slash up-to £1500 off British Gas prices and quotes.

What Types of Boilers Can You Install?
There are 3 common types of boiler that are currently used throughout Redditch and the United Kingdom. We have listed them below, including their pros and cons.
Combi Boilers
A combi boiler heats water via a heat exchanger directly from the cold mains. The hot water it provides is virtually instantaneous.
A combi boiler differs from a traditional system which stores hot water in a tank in advance of use. A combination boiler does not need a hot water cylinder – you simply have a single, usually wall-hung, unit.
PROS
- Uses very little space
- Low maintenance costs
- Instant hot water
- New units are extremely energy efficient and will help with your gas bills
CONS
- If your incoming water pressure is low, a combi boiler might not be your best choice
- They’re suitable really for a single bathroom property, anything more and your boiler will struggle
Heat Only Boilers
Often referred to as a ‘regular’ boiler, they provide heating directly to your radiators and a cylinder is used in conjunction to provide a home with its hot water.
They often require an open vented heating system, with an expansion tank in the loft.
PROS
- Low cost – they’re the cheapest type of boiler to buy
- If you have old radiators, they work well because they’re not under the pressure that a combi boiler would put them under
CONS
- Only the boiler would be covered by the manufacturers warranty – all other components will be subject to replacement in the event of break down
System Boilers
A modern version of the regular boiler and are more often than not, installed along side an unvented hot water cylinder.
Like regular boilers, system boilers work with a hot water cylinder. Unlike regular boilers, the system is not open-vented, i.e. no need for a tank in the loft, and all of the components that would normally be outside a heat only boiler (pumps, valves etc) are integrated into the boiler.
PROS
- Have several bathrooms? This is the boiler for you!
CONS
- Hot water flow rates are dependent on your incoming water feed
- They need space for both the boiler and water cylinder
